The Confirmation Class is an important life and faith transition.
When children arrive at middle school age, they begin the transition from where their parents make all the decisions in the life to where they are given the freedom to make some of their own. They start to decide what kind of a person they want to be.
This is an important time for a young person to explore becoming a follower of Jesus.
The Lord taught us a way of life that not only gives us the wisdom, courage and power to deal with growing up, but being an adult, and making one's place in the world.
Confirmation Class at Grace United Church of Christ begins in September and meets each week through April. During this time, the class learns much about their relationship with Christ, discovers the good life, and learns to apply the lessons of their relationship with God to everyday experience.
The class takes on the promise to be a follower of Jesus on Pentecost Sunday.
Pentecost is fifty days after Easter and falls between late May and early June.
